About our place, rain has fallen the last two days. For us the fire danger is gone.
Storms knocked out our internet provider.
This is a text message via wireless. Our IP does have a dialup number as backup and I will use it if necessary.
Yucca blossoms are on the way. A roadrunner darted across the Well House Corral. Queen Ann’s Lace erupts overnight. The pond is up.

Yippee!
Yes, yippee!
This is wonderful news, Jack. Did you see the clip on the national news (either CBS or ABC) that showcased a guy in your area by the name of Mackey? I couldn’t decide if he got lucky or was smart.
No, I missed it, but I know Mackey. I buy cedar posts from him. He’s on the interstate near Strawn and his dad used to have a cedar yard back up where the fires were so bad.
Beautiful. We went out this weekend and worked on our place. The tanks were so low. We are so glad to hear about the rain. I hear you had close to 4 inches.
Yes, we had three inches, south of I-20 about four miles from Gordon. I hope you get rain and the tanks go up in water, Deanne.
Wonderful, the rain, the lack of wildfire, the roadrunner. The internet would be nice, but in this case three out of four is spectacular!
That’s correct, three out of four isn’t bad! These storms are headed up the Midwest. Hope they spare you.
Great news about the rain!
How’s about 3 inches of moisture since Saturday?
Just what you folks needed! It has to be a big relief!
Your news is wonderful. It sounds as though the whole world is happy up your way!
It is wonderful! Containment is now at 69 percent!
Great news Jack. Sounds like life on the Flying Hat getting back to normal. Don’t worry about the internet it will be back up soon enough. While your waiting why not take the time to sit out on the porch and enjoy the view, listen to the birds as they sing their Spring songs and smell the sweet scent of the land after the rain. They will renew your soul.
Yeah, Yeah, the rain came and washed away the painful fires!
What relief you must all be feeling. Roadrunners and rain. Life goes on. The yucca blooms.
You betcha, life goes on. Roadrunners, rain, yucca. And, of course, your Buddy grows.
Good news, Jack. With all our rain and tornadoes in Missouri I am delighted to share some of this water with dry Texas and put out some of those fires.
Thanks, I know you have been hit hard with tornadoes and I hope all is well, but I am thankful for the rain.
Glad to hear you got some moisture. Very good news, in fact.
Yes, it is good news. I hope that Arroyo Seco is getting a share of Spring.
This is great news. I sure wish the rest of the state gets a good rain and also on in to New Mexico. We are drenched in North Central Texas and always with a trail of tornado threats to boot. Happy to hear you’re a-okay out there.
I know. I’ve been watching what is going on in the skies over there and it’s really bad with the tornadoes.
